Avalon Park permit work drops 55% in April
Avalon Park saw nine permits in April, down from twenty the month before. Permit value fell 43% to $358k. Six of those were express permits, the rest renovations and a sign. Service requests climbed 14% to 362, led by garbage cart maintenance (33) and abandoned vehicle complaints (22). Crime rose 10%—80 incidents, up from 73—but violent offenses dropped from 30 to 23. Avalon Park added a Taco Bell and a cargo outfit called Fenix Cargo in April. Permits dropped 27% to 16, with total construction value falling to $469k from $738k the month prior.
