Armour Square permit value drops 89% to $157k
Permit activity fell sharply in March: six jobs worth $157k, down from 13 jobs and $1.4 million the month before. Four of the six were express permits. The neighborhood logged 345 service requests, up 26% from February. Graffiti removal led with 78 calls, followed by 56 reports of broken street lights. Violent crime rose from 24 incidents to 35. No businesses opened or closed.

Armour Square permit value jumps to $1.85 million
Armour Square pulled four permits in March worth $1.85 million, up from $140,000 the month before. New construction accounted for two of them. New businesses included SLURPSLURP NOODLES, KAJIKEN, KONG DOG, and PARIS BAGUETTE — a small restaurant wave in a neighborhood that added 12 licenses total, down from 21 in February. Service requests climbed 14 percent to 400, led by 79 graffiti removal calls. Violent crime dropped 43 percent to 17 incidents.
